Laura Owings Rawden is the founder of Locomedia. With a background in science and international media, she specialises in crafting engaging stories around technical and in-depth information. Her passion is the intersection between development goals, entrepreneurialism, and social justice in developing countries, specifically sub-Saharan Africa. She is also an outspoken proponent for supporting and uplifitng Black African womxn in STEMI.

Laura is a member and past Chair of the Southern African Freelancers Association (SAFREA). She holds a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and a Master's degree in International Journalism & Media. 

Lucien Rawden brings a strong background in finance, digital publishing platforms and international business development to Locomedia. He looks after the commercial and technical side of the business including sponsorship, media partnerships, digital strategy and design.
